The Remotely Radical Reading group is an online community for those interested in knowledge justice and the intersections of science and social justice. Through a variety of media, we discuss the work and experiences of the marginalized as they confront Western science and its cooperation with systems of oppression, as well as center other knowledge systems. As such, the remote group also opens up discussion about our own experiences as we navigate spaces and dialogue around liberatory and Western science.
We hope that the discussions in this group will work as tools for self-reflection and application to member’s activism and everyday lives. We also envision this group as a space for mutual support. We invite members to share potential or current projects and collaborate in case further resources are needed.
